Fung Shui nursery?

Fung Shui the Nursery?
While it may sound a bit unusual, some parents will exhaust every option they have when trying to get bay to sleep. Here are a few Fung Shui Suggestions:

Baby’s room must be in a good location.
1. The sleep space should not be located over a garage or open space.
2. The crib/bassinet/family bed should not be:
- Against a window.
-Directly in line with the door.
-Against a slanted wall
-Against a wall that is shared with a bathroom, toilet, storage room or utility space.

For many homes this really doesn't leave too many options.

Separation Anxiety

Starting a sleep routine and schedule with baby from day one will not only help them to learn healthy sleep habits but it will help to eliminate the separation anxiety which can develop in the later months. Once a baby sees falling asleep in their sleep space as a positive experience they will have no trouble saying "goodnight" and soon enough "go away" to mom and dad.

Pacifiers

Pacifiers can be a topic of debate for many parents. For those who choose to introduce a pacifier to their little one, here are a few tips that may help when using it to sooth baby to sleep.

• Use it to calm baby before putting them down to sleep.
• It is best not to introduce pacifier after 4 months of age.
• If considering when to wean, 4 to 6 months is an appropriate age, unless it is used only when baby is in their sleep space.
• Pacifier can also be a good way to test if baby is hungry or just needs the comfort of sucking.
• Be sure it is positioned correctly – touching the roof of baby’s mouth.
